Talking tweedbeans R53 Project

Hi everyone, here is a thread for my winter project. Here's a brief descriptions of what I have done so far followed by what I plan to do.

Here it is the day I brought it in May 2008:

Facelift Mini Cooper S with Chilli pack and all the chrome options. 1 female owner from new so it was well looked after.

I loved it as it was, but I was bitten by the modifying bug in December 2008 when I decided I need to remove the roof vinyl as it was all cracked and faded. That was a right PITA  . Since then I have done the following mods:

By November 2009 its looked like this:

A big thanks so far to Mario, RKDE, yaphetlives and MINI Pirate for helping with the mods so far.

Im really happy with it, but the problem is that at the many show I went to this year, it didn't stand out from the other Dark Silver Mini's on display. Therefore I have decided to make some changes to make it stand out and put my unique stamp on it.

I've had tonnes of ideas which has lead to many photoshop images to help me decide what I want to do. I considered loads of mods including joey headlights, different wheels, black wheels, silver wheels new bumpers, and tonnes of vinyl designs. A lot of my plans for this project are to change the look of my car rather than performance as im planning to deal with performance later in 2010. This thread will detail the changes, as they are made, hopefully finishing with the complete project.

I also picked up a front aero bumper and some black wing mirror caps that need to be prep'd and sprayed a very funky colour.

Last night I brought a set of BBS RZ's wrapped in Toyo Proxes T1'Rs:

Thanks, Yeah they are completely different to my plans buts it means I can keep the chrome door handles and fuel cap rather than having to black them out.
